With more than 25 years in higher education, Bart Herridge is a people-first consultant who works at the point where strategy meets execution. As Senior Consultant at Mac Insight Group, he helps colleges and universities design operations they can actually run. He has served more than 40 institutions across enrollment, student success and services, technology, and institutional strategy.

Bart’s work centers on mapping complex, cross-departmental processes and constituent journeys, then turning what surfaces into prioritized, practical recommendations. He designs enrollment operations, student retention efforts, and one-stop student service models, and he plans the technology underneath them: CRM selection and integration, systems and data governance, and multi-workstream migrations from legacy systems into connected, modern platforms.

What sets Bart apart is how he works with clients and campus leadership. He is a trusted facilitator who draws candid input from frontline staff and senior leaders alike, and he has a rare talent for taking a tangle of competing processes, systems, and opinions and making it simple enough to act on. That is his superpower: clarifying complexity, then carrying the strategy through to results, all while keeping the people aspect front and center.

He has also held the institutional roles he advises on, at three very different kinds of institution. Over twenty years at Abilene Christian University (TX), a mid-size private university, Bart held senior roles in enrollment management and student affairs and served as University Registrar. He led a re-engineering of student services and financial aid counseling into a more integrated one-stop model and contributed to a 3% increase in retention over historical averages, while managing budgets exceeding $10 million annually. Earlier, Bart directed graduate admissions at Millsaps College (MS), a small liberal arts college, and began his consulting career with Noel-Levitz (now RNL). He has since consulted with Stamats, Doctums Global, and other firms, and led strategic portfolio work at National University (CA), an online institution serving adult learners.

Bart lives in West Texas with his wife and their four children. He follows Premier League and Serie A football and the NBA, with lasting loyalty to Everton, Roma, and the San Antonio Spurs. Family time often means gaming together, whether that is Minecraft, Fallout, or Animal Crossing. He hikes, plays basketball, and, when the family travels, heads for anything that is not flat, with mountains and beaches preferred. 

Bart holds an MBA from Millsaps College and a BBA from Abilene Christian University.
