Brian McMahon pairs a championship collegiate coaching career with executive leadership across sports, hospitality, and wellness organizations. A 2022 Hall of Fame inductee, he has directed multi-million dollar budgets, driven double-digit membership and revenue growth, and led national-scale programs for organizations serving hundreds of locations and thousands of members.
Brian’s executive career spans some of the country’s leading sports and wellness brands. As Chief Operating Officer of The Replay Luxury Sports and Social Club, he grew membership by 212 percent in six months. As National Programming Director for Life Time Fitness, he led programming across 142 locations nationwide. Throughout his career, he has managed multi-million dollar operating budgets and cross-functional teams of more than 200 staff.
Brian’s coaching record is equally distinguished. He compiled 366 career collegiate wins, including a national championship at Belhaven University, and served as head coach and Director of Operations at Palm Beach Atlantic, Belhaven, and Greenville. He was twice named NSCAA/USCAA National Coach of the Year, and his leadership on and off the field has earned him recognition as Palm Beach County Sports Commission Manager of the Year and as National Chair for NCAA committees serving more than 200 universities.
At Mac Insight Group, Brian serves as Executive Consultant for Mac Athletics, bringing his combined experience in coaching, operations, and executive leadership to help colleges and universities strengthen their athletics programs and connect them more closely to enrollment and student success.
When Mac isn’t teaching or coaching pickleball, he’s usually doing the completely logical thing—playing more pickleball. Competition has been part of his DNA his entire life, and apparently retirement from being competitive isn’t in the plans. When the paddle finally gets put down, his attention turns to his other two sporting addictions: Ohio State football and Liverpool FC. Fall Saturdays are sacred—Go Bucks!—and Liverpool matches regularly have him questioning referees who, strangely, never seem to hear his very helpful advice through the television. Whether he’s battling on the pickleball court, yelling “O-H-I-O,” or living and dying with the Reds, Mac believes sports should be competitive, passionate, and, above all, fun. And yes, he takes all three just a little more seriously than he probably should.
Brian holds a Master of Science in Education in Kinesiology/Sport Management from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Indiana Wesleyan University. He is a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor
(CCDC I).
